Supportfor FARC and Other South American Terrorist GroupsThroughout its history the regime has always backed Colombian terrorist groups, most the most notorious and longest lasting is the FARC. Classified by the US State Department as a terrorist organization, the FARC are known to forcibly recruit children into war, often after killing their parents. The FARC are also one of the world's largest drug traffickers, and one of the prolific kidnappers. Since the late 1970s, the Castro regime has armed, trained, equipped and given refuge to a number of Colombian terrorists. The current talks to have the Colombian government provide amnesty to the FARC are being held in Havana, because the Regime is the only government the FARC feels they can rely.

Support for American Terrorists and FugitivesThe Castro regime has provided refuge to a number of terrorists who have murdered Americans. The most notorious case is that of Assata Shakur aka Joanne Chesimard, a member of the Black Liberation Army who escaped from a US prison, and while at large executed a New Jersey State Trooper, at point-blank, leaving his children orphaned. Chesimard was received in Havana, as a hero, and still lives under the regime's protection.

The regime is also one of a few countries, backing the Syrian dictatorship.
