Regime Provides Hezbollah with Base in Cuba to Scope Targets in the US and Latin America
Since at least 2011, Hezbollah has operated a base in Cuba. The existence of the base recently became public information, when a private intelligence report delivered to Hillary Clinton, revealed the information in one of the emails disclosed by Clinton. The base is aimed at casing targets, particularly at Israeli diplomatic interests and Israeli businessmen in Latin America, but the Shi’ite militants “have been instructed” to identify “facilities in the United States and the United Kingdom, such as diplomatic missions, banks and businesses in the region.
Supportfor FARC and Other South American Terrorist Groups
Throughout its history the regime has always backed Colombian terrorist groups, most the most notorious and longest lasting is the FARC. Classified by the US State Department as a terrorist organization, the FARC are known to forcibly recruit children into war, often after killing their parents. The FARC are also one of the world's largest drug traffickers, and one of the prolific kidnappers. Since the late 1970s, the Castro regime has armed, trained, equipped and given refuge to a number of Colombian terrorists. The current talks to have the Colombian government provide amnesty to the FARC are being held in Havana, because the Regime is the only government the FARC feels they can rely.
Support for American Terrorists and Fugitives
The Castro regime has provided refuge to a number of terrorists who have murdered Americans. The most notorious case is that of Assata Shakur aka Joanne Chesimard, a member of the Black Liberation Army who escaped from a US prison, and while at large executed a New Jersey State Trooper, at point-blank, leaving his children orphaned. Chesimard was received in Havana, as a hero, and still lives under the regime's protection.
Opposition to Israel's Existence and Support for Syria, Iran and Palestinian terrorist groups
Just months before September 11th, Castro visited Iran and proclaimed that together his regime and Iran would "bring the US to its knees". Iran, the principal financier and backer of the Hezbollah, Hammas and the PLO has used the Castro regime, and its client-state Venezuela, to train Palestinian terrorist groups in Cuba and support the same. The regime is also one of a few countries, backing the Syrian dictatorship.
